Support

Otis is a calm bedtime app: a warm voice tells a short story while your child drifts off, with soft sound design and a sleep timer. Here's how to get help.

Contact us

Something not working, or just have a question? Write to us.

Email: contact-us@hysoftwarestudios.com

We usually reply within a couple of days. When you write, it helps to include your device (for example, “iPhone” or an Android phone model) and a short description of what happened.

Reporting a problem

If something isn't working, please email us with:

  • your device and operating system (iOS or Android),
  • what you were doing when the issue happened,
  • and what you expected to happen instead.

Because Otis stores everything on your device and collects no data, we can't see anything on our end — your description is what helps us fix things.

Frequently asked questions

Does Otis work offline?

Yes. All stories and lullabies are bundled with the app, so once Otis is installed it plays fully offline and makes no network requests in normal use. You don't need Wi-Fi or mobile data to use it.

What ages is Otis for?

Otis is designed for young children, roughly ages 3–8, and the parents and caregivers who put them to bed. The stories and lullabies are written to be calming and to help end the day.

Are there ads or tracking?

No. Otis has no ads, no third-party tracking or analytics, and no data-collecting SDKs. It doesn't require an account. Nothing about your child leaves the device — because nothing is collected. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Does it keep playing with the screen off?

Yes. You can listen with the screen dark and the phone locked, and the story keeps playing. There's also a sleep timer that gently fades the story out and ends the session.

How do I add my child?

On first launch, choose to add your child. You can add more than one and pick who is listening tonight. These names are saved only on your device.

Can I record a story in my own voice?

Yes. The recording stays on your device and is added to your child's library. It is never uploaded or shared.

How much does Otis cost, and where can I get it?

Otis is in preparation for launch and is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. We'll add store links here once it's available. If you'd like to be pointed to it at launch, email us at the address above.
